Track Slack Conversations as Support Tickets in Airtable
This app tracks conversations in a specified Slack channel in Airtable, treating
them like support tickets. It immediately replies to messages in a designated
channel with acknowledgement that an issuee has been created and is being
tracked. It's perfect for a #support
channel in your workspace so that you
always provide a quick first contact!
There is some required setup (cloning an Airtable base), so make sure
you read the Required Setup section below.
Overview
The app will store the top level message of a conversation in an Airtable base, which you can clone
by clicking here.
Tickets will start with status Unresolved, and the app will reply to the
initial message with confirmation that the message is being tracked. The base
comes configured with a Trello-style Kanban view so that your team can
see the status of specific issues at a glance and easily move issues into
different categories.
Additionally, the app has a scheduler that runs each minute and queries
the Airtable base for issues whose status has changed, so when someone on your
team addresses a issue, the app will send another reply to the conversation
announcing that the issue status has changed.
Note: As the scheduler polls the base minutely, replies on status changes
may take up to a minute to appear.
Required Setup
You must clone this Airtable base by clicking here
and link it during the install process. You also need a Slack workspace to
install the app into, but you can choose any workspace you have access to. Once
you've cloned the Airtable base, install this app by following the directions,
and you should be good to go!
