The Anti-Rick-Roll (antirr) Moderator
Have you ever wished for a moderation that checked over some server content
to be aware of the Rick Rolls happening in professional, mature, and/or sophisticated
Discord communities? Try out this Anti-Rick-Roll Moderator!
Prerequisites
You will need:
- Discord account
- Discord guild
- Discord bot (if you do not yet know how to create one, click here)
- If you read the guide, then you will have an Autocode account (individual or organization)
- The Autocode account must be with available requests. The bronze tier's max is 10,000/mo. If need more, check the pricing page.
You MUST read this README.
If you read this fully, you will randomly find secret words that is worth $1
once you ping me in the Autocode Discord server. It will look something like this:
rainbow ramen polkadots
Send those words to me in one message with the App it's from.
How to use
In Autocode
Find the commands.js
file like in this photo below.
Once you are in that file, click the green Run
button on the bottom right corner.
This will now create those commands in your server. Venus
That is, only if you entered
the correct environment variables value for GUILD_ID
. If you did not, you can
change the value by clicking "Environment variables" on the bottom left corner
(below Linked Resources, where you connect your Discord bot) and enter the correct
guild id. DO NOT TOUCH THAT FILE AGAIN.
*The only file you may touch is under resources/config.json
, where you can
edit the Discord embed color. fog
In Discord
If you'd like for these settings to only be accessible by you, do the following:
Go to guild settings >> Integrations >> (bot) >> /antirr
and click the X for
@everyone. As of now, these commands return completely visible messages, so I
suggest you also limit which channels you give it access to.
If you don't mind these settings to be accessible to anyone, and I mean anyone,
undo what I said above, and keep it at the default permission.
The /antirr commands that will make your dreams come true
- Use the
/antirr clear
command to clear the watchlist. This is for when you'd like to restart the settings from the beginning. I suggest you still set the member, role, and/or channel to watch over for their Rick Roll actions.
- The
/antirr set member
command is to have the bot keep hold the names of users you list for the bot to watch over. If those users have messages that contain some Rick Roll, the bot can take care of it.
- Same with
/antirr set role
, having the bot watch a role instead.
- Same with
/antirr set channel
, having the bot watch a channel instead.
Each one of these will list all of the members/roles/channels you have in the server
for you to look through and decide on. Depending on the number of those you have,
the timing may take longer. Just be aware of that. lazy
Once you have completed those, you should have everything set. Please do not ping me in Discord if I am not online. If you need help, please ask the community, first, in the Autocode Developers server's correct support channel after you have been verified. If you find me available online, then you may ping me with questions about this app, or with the answer to the $1 worth correct word combination that you will owe me (if you ping me with that answer, you didn't read this to the end). ENJOY!
*Fun fact: This was for a RickRoll Community Challenge
